Overview

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Budongo forest from Kampala. Visit Murchison falls in the afternoon
A professional tourist guide will pick up the guests from the hotel facility in Kampala with a tourist vehicle. Undertake the drive to Budongo forest which will take you roughly 4 hours and on arrival in the forest you will check in at the lodge. Relax at the lodge as you enjoy the views of the forests and the beautiful birds within. The friendly staff at the lodge will later serve to you a delicious lunch at around midday.
Embark on the transfer to Murchison falls National Park after lunch. An afternoon game drive will be conducted in the National Park to enable you support various animals within encompassing the giraffes, leopards, jackals, hippos, lions, zebras and elephants. The afternoon game drive will take about two hours and in the evening you’ll embark on a launch boat cruise to Murchison falls. Enjoy the views of the most powerful waterfalls in the whole world and take beautiful photographs that will remind you of this exciting adventure. The boat cruise will end at sunset and you will transfer back to the lodge for relaxation. A mouth watering dinner will be served at even tide and you will have a night time stay.
Day 2: Full day chimpanzee habituation experience
An early delicious meal will be served at the lodge at first light by the accommodating professional staff. Enjoy the delicious breakfast in the golden hour and after transfer to Budongo forest for the sensational chimpanzee habituation experience. At the forest headquarters, you’ll meet the experts who will guide you about the dos and donts when on the habituation experience. The game Rangers will guide you on the chimpanzee habituation activity and you will go along with the zoologists and researchers who have vast information about the chimpanzees.
On this activity, guests will spend more time with the chimpanzees learning and unlearning things about them. The activity will last for about four hours that will be full of interaction with the researchers and participation in the habituation processes. The activity will end in the afternoon and you will transfer back to the lodge for a delicious lunch. Relax at the lodge in the afternoon as you enjoy the views of the forest canopies. An evening nature walk will be conducted by the game Rangers that will present to you opportunities to view various bird species that live in the forest and other primates encompassing the black and white colobus monkeys and the red tailed monkeys. Head to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Trek rhinos in Ziwa rhino sanctuary and return to Kampala
Breakfast will be served at first light at the hotel by the corteous staff. After breakfast, you will embark on the transfer journey to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in the vicinity of the forest. At the sanctuary, you will have the interesting adventure of tracking the rhinos. The activity will keep you occupied the entire morning, spend time with these giants taking pictures as the guides provide information about them and their ecological significance.
Transfer to the restaurant at high noon for a mouthwatering lunch. After lunch, embark on the drive back to Kampala which will take you roughly 2 hours and 57 minutes. Arrival in Kampala will end the exciting adventure and visitors will continue with their journeys back home.
