Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival at Juba International Airport
Arrive in South Sudan at Juba International Airport where our guide driver will be waiting to pick you up. He will brief you about your trip and transfer you to your booked hotel in the city to rest as you prepare for your 10 days safari and bird watching in South Sudan.
Day 2: Transfer to Bandingilo National Park
In the morning, wake up to a delicious breakfast at your hotel and check out. Our driver guide will transfer you for about 5-6 hours to Bandingilo National Park. Enjoy spanning scenes from the city to the countryside and lunch will be served en route. By evening you will have checked into your lodge in the park just in time for dinner.
Day 3: Game drive and bird watching

As the day breaks free from the captivity by the night, you will be served a hot delicious breakfast to kick start your day’s adventure. Our driver guide will be on time to take you on a thrilling game viewing experience you have never seen before. Encounter several wildlife species such as the Nubian giraffe, cheetah, lion, spotted hyena, and caracal to mention but a few. You will then head by to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, a professional experienced birding guide will then lead you on a birding exhibition in the park after a short briefing.
Keep your eyes peeled for the incredible swift birds that decorate the horizon. Some of the birds to look out for include the secretary bird, African fish eagle, vultures, grey crowned crane, and the white stork to mention but a few. You will then head by to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Fly to Boma National Park and cultural encounter
In the morning after breakfast, you will be flown to Boma National Park and driven to your lodge upon touchdown. Relax, settle in and be served a warm delicious lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a cultural experience of the Neur people.
This tribe of people is the largest in the country residing close to the park premises. They are traditional cattle keepers and their traditional ways of cattle herding will be of great interest to you. Also interact with the elder of the tribe for ancient tales about their history. This will conclude your evening as you head by to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full day game viewing
At Cockcrow, wake up to your delightful breakfast very early in the morning. Then grab your packed lunch and our driver guide will take you on a driver experience for the entire day. Boma National Park is the biggest national park in the country stretching for over 22,800 square kilometers. A full day game drive adventure is the best way to explore the park in detail as you enjoy your packed lunch in the wilderness.
Get exposed to wildlife species like buffalo, elephant, African leopard, Nubian giraffe, oryx, hartebeest, Northeast African cheetah, common eland, Lelwel hartebeest, maneless zebra, waterbuck, Grant’s gazelle, Lesser kudu, bongo, Giant eland, and Nile lechwe to mention but a few. By evening you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full day bird watching
A full day birding safari in Boma National Park is an amazing experience that will uncover the birding treasures of the park. After devouring your breakfast, you will be taken on a birding show by our experienced birding guide with incredible knowledge about the bird species in the park.
Drive through the different designated birding routes and walk through these birding trails to the birds. Explore the migratory and resident birds of the park before having your packed lunch. Some birds you expect to encounter include Ruppell’s vulture, and black-chested snake eagle to mention but a few. You will then head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Sudd Wetland Sanctuary
After breakfast, you will hit the road to Sudd Wetland. This long journey will take you about 6-9 hours to Sudd Wetland Sanctuary and lunch will be served en route. Arrive at your lodge close to the wetland sanctuary in time for dinner and rest for the night.
Day 8: Full day birding watching

Early in the morning, wake up to your delicious breakfast. A full day of birding experience will be led by an experienced birding guide with knowledge about the different species in the wetland. Encounter birds like shoebill stock, white stork, great white pelican, black tern, black crowned crane, white-faced whistling-duck, red-billed duck, mallard, Nob billed duck, blue-billed teal, and Garganey to mention but a few. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner.
Day 9: Boat cruise and community tour
In the morning as you come close to the end of your 10 days best of South Sudan safaris – bird watching tour, have breakfast. Then embark on a boat cruise experience in the Sudd wetland. You will be sure to meet several aquatic species like crocodiles and hippos and also other water bird species like the cormorant and shoe bill stock. Explore their life of life, culture, visit their markets, and interact with them to get an insight into their livelihood among others. As evening clocks in you will head by to the lodge to rest and have dinner.
Day 10: Departure

Then check out of the lodge and be transferred by our driver guide to Juba International Airport as lunch will be served en route. By evening you will be at the airport just in time for your departure flight back home.
