3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

Overview

This safari is organized to visit the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a journey that is full of memories due to scenic landscape. The trekking of these beautiful creatures rewards a great time for an hour in the jungle while exploring the forest nature and Wildlife.

The safari involves stopovers like that one at the Uganda equator for photos, experiments and souvenir buying, another stopover will be in Mbarara to visit the Igongo Cultural Centre and Biharwe Eclipse.

Detailed Itinerary

Day1. Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe and head to Bwindi National Park

The driver guide assigned to you will pick you up at any agreed point in either Kampala or Entebbe. He/she will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda which is known to have the rare mountain gorillas in almost half of the population in the world.

The journey takes about 8 hours with different stopovers such as one at the Uganda equator for experiment, souvenir buying and refreshments. Arrive and head to the lodge for dinner and prepare for the next day’s adventure in the wild.

Day2. Gorilla trekking experience day

Wake up and enjoy your breakfast as your diver guide will give you some hits about today’s activity. The driver guide will take you to the park offices for briefing an exercise which takes about 30 minutes to get used to gorilla behaviours, learn about the dos and don’ts as the park wardens crosscheck the trekking permits and more.

Trekking will take about 5 to 7 hours including an hour that will be spent with the gorillas taking and recording memories. While in the Impenetrable Forest, there is alot you will enjoy such as the colobus monkeys, baboons, different plants and birds among others. After the trek, you will head to the lodge for lunch and engage in the optional activities.

Day3. Head back to Kampala and fly back home

Have an early breakfast at the lodge, check out and head back to Kampala with a scenic drive. Have different stopovers like one in Mbarara to visit the Biharwe eclipse and Igongo cultural center then another stopover will be at the Uganda equator to share the last photos, late lunch and even buy some handmade crafts. Proceed to Kampala and be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home to mark the end of the tour.
