This 3-Day tour takes you to explore the Mundari Cattle Camp offering a unique cultural immersion into the pastoralist lifestyle of the Mundari people in South Sudan. The journey begins in Juba to Mundari Cattle Camp in Terekeka. This tour will introduce you to the community’s traditions and deep connections to the locals to their cattle.
The highlight of this tour involves 9bserving daily routine such as milking, grazing the cows, smearing ash insect repellant, experiencing traditional music and stories, storytelling and more. Enjoy the best time for photography, especially during sunrise and sunset.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Pickup from Juba and transfer to Mundari Cattle Camp
The tour begins with a transfer to Mundari Cattle Camp from Juba a drive that will last for about 3 to 4 hours accompanied by a scenic landscape. On arrival at the camp, be welcome and greeted by the Mundari people known for their great hospitality and rich cultural heritage.

After checking in, walk around the camp to get used to the surroundings. In the afternoon after your lunch, interact with herdsmen to learn about the significance of the cattle to their daily lives. As the sun sets, gather around the campfire to enjoy cultural stories, music dance and drama from the Mundari people.
Day2. Cattle experience day
Rise up early to enjoy the scenic view of the surroundings as you participate in the milking process a crucial daily ritual for the Mundari. As the dew rises over, witness the strong bond of the locals with their animals. For the whole day, enjoy activities like herding and grooming the cattle.

Also, learn how the Mundari people use the cattle dug for hygiene and cultural symbolism. The herders will tell you about the challenges and joys they face during herding. Lunch will be enjoyed as you taste typical Mundari cuisine offers local taste flavors. In the evening, enjoy the beautiful Mundari sunset to capture great photos.
Day3. Departure day
Wake up in the morning and enjoy the last scenery of the unique environments in this cattle camp. Have a sight of herders leading their cattle to graze. Bid firewall to the locals and then take a drive to Juba with stopovers like roadside markets and landmarks. Arrive in Juba and be dropped off at the airport to fly back home.
